The music is a somewhat manipulated Solitude of the Shepherdess by Ole Bull (1810-80) & was recorded in 1909
by the American String Quartette (sic).
The digitisation of the recording is by the wonderful & invaluable
Cylinder Preservation and Digization Project.

'Natasha has just come up to the window from the courtyard and
opened it wider so that the air may enter more freely into my room.
I can see the bright green strip of grass beneath the wall,
and the clear blue sky above the wall, and sunlight everywhere.
Life is beautiful.
Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression
and violence, and enjoy it to the full.'

In the Spring of 2003 I started making tiny QuickTime movies, as a kind of moving image dream diary.
This quickly became a major focus of my work & I have made at least two or three every month since.
In 2006 I arranged them in their current, semi-chronological, format (everything from April 2003 - Dec 2005
appears in the first four months of 2006).
All the movies, new & old, still live in the
same folder & can be accessed from there too.
You may freely download & remix any of them, though I would appreciate a credit.
Where credits are due to others for material I have appropriated or remixed, or for
performances, I will include a note with the posts here.
All music, except where otherwise stated, is by me.
I hope you like the movies, though of course I will continue to make & post them whether you do or not (but my thanks for looking!).
If you're interested enough you can read more about them here,
here,
here
& here.
